Traditional sauna
Unlike a traditional sauna, the infrared sauna does not heat the air, but uses infrared light to heat our bodies directly. This allows you to experience the benefits of a traditional sauna at lower temperatures.
Traditional saunas use steam, so we do not sweat as much as we would in an infrared sauna.
In infrared saunas, temperatures are extremely low compared to traditional saunas, reaching a maximum of 50/55° C.
People who use infrared saunas extol the virtues of 'good sweat', i.e. the possibility of achieving the same feeling of well-being as with moderate exercise. Infrared saunas, like traditional saunas, facilitate skin cleansing, relaxation and help relieve bone and muscle pain.
In addition, unlike a traditional sauna, the infrared sauna is electrically powered and is designed not to create electromagnetic fields, which are harmful to the human body as they cause problems such as headaches, fatigue and stress.
Infrared saunas are classified according to the infrared wavelength that is produced inside them.
Long-wave infrared saunas
These are the most common.
Longwaves have the ability to penetrate the body down to the cells, allowing environmental toxins and heavy metals to be eliminated through sweating. They produce numerous benefits, including reducing blood pressure and facilitating pain relief.
Medium-wave infrared saunas
These types of saunas operate at a slightly shorter wavelength than saunas with long waves.
In this case, the light is amplified and allows it to reach the soft tissues, promoting increased blood circulation and reducing inflammation.
Short-wave infrared saunas
Short waves reach the deepest areas of the body, facilitating the healing and wellbeing of individual cells.
They trigger the activation of cellular metabolism and can aid wound healing.
Broad spectrum infrared saunas
These saunas incorporate all the wavelengths mentioned above, combining all the benefits that can be obtained from the various lengths.
