There are specialised centres that use beer and its derivatives as the main basis for beauty and relaxation treatments.
HOPS-BASED BEAUTY TREATMENTS
The passion for beer and the cult of wellness have now found common ground in this new trend from Eastern Europe.
It may sound absurd but beer has a lot of beneficial elements: it is rich in vitamins and precious metals:
- it is rich in antioxidants and is good for stimulating the metabolism
- hops and malt are rich in vitamins and precious metals
- Brewer's yeast contains a lot of vitamin B, which serves to strengthen the hair and also promotes tissue regeneration.
Clearly, the beer used in the treatments is not what we are used to drinking in the brewery, but is brewed (Brassare: term for the production of beer) for therapeutic purposes only and cannot be drunk.
The beer used will have different characteristics to the beer we consume:
- very low alcohol content
-
more vitamins
- more folic acid
-
more carbohydrates
- more protein
BUT HOW ARE BEER TREATMENTS CARRIED OUT?
Treatments range from baths and saunas to beer yeast masks and hop massages.
There is a process, but it may differ from structure to structure, but in general the mechanism is as follows:
You immerse yourself in a tub full of beer for about twenty minutes.
This is followed by a hop-scented sauna, which helps eliminate all harmful substances from the body for another fifteen minutes.
You immerse yourself in another tub filled with lukewarm water (cooling immersion).
Then you lie down on a bed of wheat straw, so that all of the beneficial substances of beer have time to be absorbed by the body.
