All that remains now is to deal with the actual relaxation.
BEFORE THE WHIRLPOOL
THE SCRUB: at least once a month, carry out a scrub to clean the skin and eliminate dead cells, in this way the skin will be more receptive to the treatment and in general will be more toned and smooth.
THE TEMPERATURE: the right temperature allows greater relaxation and optimises the beneficial properties of the hydromassage. The ideal temperature is around 37 degrees centigrade -temperatures above 37 degrees favour a relaxing action; temperatures below 37 degrees will have an energising and firming effect-
ATTENTION: Those who complain of problems with visible capillaries or varicose veins should not go beyond 38 degrees centigrade: if the heat is excessive, it favours vaso-dilatation, exacerbating the problem.
RELAXATION
THE CELLULAR. Banish calls, messages and anything else that can distract you from your task: relax! Silence is a good ally in these cases, but the right playlist can enhance the feeling of calm and quiet. Choose background music that gives you positive energy.
LIGHT. Light sources, if too intrusive, can impair the quality of relaxation. Our suggestion: switch off the light and scatter candles around the bathroom. This will certainly enhance the relaxation effect and make you enjoy the experience even more.
THE LENGTH. The ideal bath time should not exceed 30 minutes. Immersion in hot water promotes dehydration. Relax, but don't overdo it.
COMFORT. An inflatable pillow or rolled-up towel will provide the right support for your head and neck. Once you have found the ideal position, all that remains is to enjoy your moment of peace.
OTHER ADVICE
THE FOAM. You know those movie scenes where the main character is immersed in a tub full of foam? That's probably not a hot tub! If you add some foam, not specifically for hot tubs, you can have two effects:
- clog the pipes and filters of the bathtub (it must be equipped with special filters) with soap and foam.
- being drenched in foam! The whirlpool bath increases the amount of foam incredibly, so an excess of liquid soaps could turn your moment of peace into a comical story to tell your friends.
NO TO BATH SALTS! As great as they may be, they risk ruining and scratching your bath (and your mood once you notice the scar).
YES TO ESSENTIAL OILS: Aromatherapy is a form of treatment based on the use of highly concentrated essential oils obtained from plants. It has a very high potential as essential oils can be used to improve the quality and sensation of well-being and health not only physically, but also emotionally and mentally.
An oil must be healthy as well as essential, so make sure that the aroma is on an oil base and that this base is created from jojoba or olive oil. Simply pour no more than 10 drops into the bath for a fragrant, enveloping bath experience.
Last but not least: ALWAYS CLEAN THE BATHTUB once the bath is over; you will avoid wasting time (and therefore desire) the next time.
